Okay so I am pretty new to the whole blockchain / crypto currency / smart contract / decentralized apps, thing, but I am really getting in to it now and think there is massive chances for growth here.
I am a pretty seasoned software developer and I can see the great potential in all these new projects that are popping up and all the great ideas that are coming out of the blockchain arena. They do tend to get somewhat over funded, but that is a question for another time.
One thing I cannot understand is why there is so much FUD around it all the time. It is a proven system. Yes there have been security issues and massive gains and massive losses in the past, we all know this.
But why are there so many people who are spreading so much FUD on all these topics? (Just a note for those who have not yet done the google for the meaning of FUD, it stands for "Fear, uncertainty and doubt".
The reason it confuses me is because of the nature of markets it absolutely is a self fulfilling prophesy to some extent at least.
So are all these FUD publishers unknowing of this or, are they people who want to crash the value of the crypto market for their own agenda ?
Also I want to say, I do know all about the possible fork of BTC and all the horrible mess around the major stock holders of BTC and that is also part of my bewilderment, why would people so invested in a thing trash each other so publicly and make the whole lot look like a bunch of irresponsible school kids, further devaluing the thing that they are supposed to be supporting...
Anyway that is a bit of side topic too I think. I am more curious about what people think about the regular forum posts by random doom sayers that seem to come up every week about how the whole of the crypto currency market is going to crash to nothing in the next few seconds.
Please let me know what you think about these guys and don't be to harsh on my grammar, thanks.
