Seeing Racism in Everything is a Religion

The idea that society is the product of white men - or that our way of thinking is codified by white men - is silly. The concept of the number zero comes from India. Algebra comes from Arab/Islamic culture, and most of the world's people are members of non-Western religions. The irony of your position is, that in order to ascribe "whiteness" to every aspect of our society, one must simultaneosly discredit the accomplishments and contributions of all the non-Western cultures. Americans are in the midst of a moral panic about white supremacy.

Think: Salem Witch trials, red scare in the 50's, satanic panic of the 1980s, fear of "young middle eastern men" after 9/11. Humans are capable of having mass hallucinations that involve moral panic. This is not the first time we convinced ourselves that evil ideas or evil people have permeated the society, ideas or people that must be hunted down and exposed in an effort to acheive purity. We are dumb cavemen, panicing about a shadow of a sabre tooth tiger on the walls of the cave, but the culprit is a mouse.
Were there communists working in Hollywood in the 1950's? Sure. Are there people who worship Satan? Sure. Are there middle eastern men willing to die for the cause of global jihad? Dozens among millions. The truth is that true white supremacists couldn't fill a minor league baseball stadium. We are living in the freest society in history. Never in history have laws been better suited for equal protections. While I'm sure white supremacists exist, white supremacy, as it's currently presented by academics and MSNBC is essentially a hoax.
