I would rather have horrible short term memory

This is happening to me in recent years. I’ve always had a legendary memory my entire life, but now I’m becoming forgetful of the smallest things. (Like, I bring something into the house, I set the bag down somewhere...and days later, where in hell did I put it?) My long-term memory is still intact but eventually won’t the short-term stuff become long-term? No Alzheimer’s in my family, though...(knock on wood). As Bette Davis once remarked, “Aging ain’t for sissies.”
