Experiment #246

“On a small island in the middle of nowhere, there is a secret lab. Kept well away from other places and perfect for a secret experiment.

Have you ever heard of Experiment #1,117? Well, this is the same place, but before the incident.

Experiment #246 (Also known as just “246”)started off as a normal experiment. 246 was a test on time itself, however the starting was a bit rough. Scientist on the mainland found a way to change time itself, but all of those that participated in the experiment quit and were never seen again.

This meant that when the experiment was transferred to the Island for test continuation, the instructions were half-done notes and a scrawl of ideas. No real instructions.

After weeks of different testings based on the notes, the scientists accidentally created a being that could, control the idea of time.

No - the scientists learned lots about time and learned that it would not be possible to control time with current technology. However, this being could make time seem to go faster or slower, at least to itself, but speeding up or slowing down its body. This meant that it could possibly go 100 years in the future, yet only be one year older.

This was a huge breakthrough for the scientists and they were close to sharing the information, but restrained themselves, as their motto was “Unknown, unheard, unseen.” They continued tests for fifty years and only when they had conclusively determined the creature as “practically immune” did they realize their mistake.

This creature, as it was an embodiment of time itself, could change it’s own body form, just as time has no form. It creeps through the labs and leaves at times when no one notices. Increased security was issued, yet it never seemed to last. It was as if the creature could manipulate their minds.

At this point, the scientists concluded that this experiment was too dangerous to continue, even for the Island’s standards. They resolved to kill it.

You, dear reader, have probably already noticed the mistake they made. They had forgotten about the small bit of writing at the bottom of the page, the fine printed letters - Virtually indestructible.

Iron rusted before it was able to be used - probably the the effect of speeding the slowing of time used by 246 - bullets never reached their targets, dropping and bowing to the force of gravity. Any other weapon known to mankind was corroded by the force of time, broken down to it’s harmless elements or broken by the passing of unimaginable time.

The creature lived, and was gone the next day. Now, what did this creature look like, you may be asking.

According to my research, this creature looked like if you were to look upon a clear void with no end. Just seeing clear until your eyes could see no longer - yet contained in a small, four-legged creature.

It loves to hide in shadows,"

Found in a small, leather-bound journal in a small hut of the coast of the Mainland.
