Here are some note I'm re-writing for the book -
The first chapter begins discussing the creative imagination and then introduces Imagination Exercises within the Creative Naturally Action Journal. The exercises help us to understand and appreciate the power of this aspect of our consciousness. The creative imagination is a major factor in the quest to enhance creativity. The imagination when focused is often used for directed positive visualizations. We can visualize what we want to create or experience and our thoughts help to bring these visions into our life experience. Visualization is focused imagination. A very wide definition of visualization also includes imagining experiences derived from your other senses. For example smelling the delights of the kitchen in your mind.

Visualization is often considered as a primary method of using the imagination to experience positive events you want to experience in life. Visualizing a big house, new car, prosperity or a loving relationship is quite a common method to try and create what you want in life. Many of the later chapters are specifically for using creativity to help visualization processes.

We also need to understand that the imagination can be quite detrimental if not managed. Negative imaginings can elicit painful emotions and take us away from the natural healthy core of our being and values. One of the best ways to deal with negative imaginings is to re-direct our energy into physical work or creative expression. Cleaning or organizing indoor or outdoor spaces is a powerful way to re-direct the energy experienced from negative images. Throwing yourself into a creative project is another great way to diffuse the power of the negative imagination. So use your imagination wisely and Stay Creative Steemers.
