Photo Fun Contest - Week 11 – “Weird Creations of Nature”

in #creationcontest7 years ago (edited)

This is my last minute entry to the Photo Fun Contest hosted by talented @claudiaz.
Learn more here: Week 11

Almost like playing a game of "I Spy,"
the challenge this week was to find unusual things in nature that resemble something else and tell us what you see.

I went through my vacation albums looking specifically for a couple of unusual trees I remember photographing in Washington, D.C. and found this one where I see two different things in the tree trunk.

I will post the original color photo first, followed by two separate b&w images where the specific area is colorsplashed to hopefully show what I see easier.

What do YOU see?

"Tree Monster"
If you turn the tree to the right, I see an open-mouthed monster animal that resembles a frog or turtle.

"Buffalo Head"
On the right hand side of the tree, I see the head of a buffalo facing me, eyes squinted, with a blade of grass in the "hairs" on its chin.

I see the wings of an angel Nina. Maybe Buffalo is your totem? 🦋

The way you see the tree is pretty interesting haha. Tried to see it too. Couldn't see the Buffalo head

The head is facing you, it's eyes are squinted and the mouth is drawn downward

I think I know what you see :)

Maybe it looks more like a horse, now that I look at it bigger sized

hahaha maybe it's in between these two things ;)

Nice find Nina!

Thank you, Erikah! Do you see the same things?

Well, I wouldn't say monster but it's definitely scary 😀

Oh yeas, yes indeed lol. Sure, Nina...whatever you say... :)

I think that is a type of Rorschach Test in tree fashion instead of inkblot LOL!

Those Rorschach tests are fun! @old-guy-photos

I see @old-guy-photos taking a long range photo of the same trunk!

@old-guy-photos would have to be taking a super-duper long range shot from a satellite in Michigan @c0ff33a of the tree stump because it's in Washington DC! The tree in his photo does look as though it's related!🌳

That's one great huge trunk :-) Happy Wednesday!

hello pretty the trees have strange shape hehe

thanks for the entry, I see the monster!

Ha! Love this one! My silly thoughts ;)
