Live Edge and Quirky Wood Designs:
I was looking for some inspiration today, so I went to visit my friend who is an amazing log home builder and wood furniture craftsman. He has an incredible attention to detail, and always produces some really interesting homes. This photo is of one of his more recent builds, in which he incorporated unfinished logs into the design. I think it creates a really cool effect!
Here are a couple more examples of some lofty details!
I am not building anything on this large a scale, but perhaps I can add some small details inside my bunkie that pay homage to the beautiful land around me. The area of Lake superior that I live offers an amazing bounty of natural treasures that would add an interesting touch to a tiny home. Perhaps I will use driftwood for a door handle, stones to frame a mirror, and a piece of live edge furniture as decor. Let's see where my imagination can take me!

Wow. Someone was having a lot of fun creating this space. Is it driftwood ? Or new wood made to look like driftwood ?
The interior is mainly salvage. Most of the building materials were cut on his mill.
What a retreat! Great wood work love the raw wood style.
