About CommentRewarder
CommentRewarder is a service for rewarding comments.
To use CommentRewarder, add commentrewarder as beneficiary on your post at 3% or more. Then, upvote some quality replies during the first 3 days after the post is published.
CommentRewarder is brought to you by acidyo and hivetrending.
Is there a way to find out which author is adding CR as a beneficiary :)
Any such list?
Just asking!
It's a good way to get some extra hive for the small fishes like us!
https://peakd.com/@commentrewarder/feed
@commentrewarder automatically follows and unfollows accounts using it, after 3 days since last post that used @commentrewarder it unfollows that account. While the feed isn't perfect you can use @peakd filters to remove reblogs and just scroll past posts from authors that didn't use commentrewarder for that specific post but may still have a post active within 3 days.
Thank you very much
Hi @acidyo and @hivetrending, I'd like to write a small script to find every day all the posts which have set @commentrewarder as beneficiary, thus helping people find these posts more easily.
My idea would be to publish a weekly post (to avoid spamming by blog) and under the post share each day in a comment a list with all the posts that where published in the previous 24 hours with @commentrewarder as beneficiary.
I may also tag in each comment the users that might be interested in this "service", if they require it.
So, what I'm asking you is:
I know I don't have to ask permission to publish a report, but I don't want to do something that the project founders might see as "bad" or "detrimental" for the project itself.
For me it would be a nice way to put to the test what I'm learning with Python, but if you believe I should avoid doing it, I'm completely fine with it.
Thanks!
I don't think this is necessary, we already have the account follow those who've used @commentrewarder in the last 3 days so you can easily track those users by checking out its feed @commentrewarder/feed.
Automated posts like these actively receiving post rewards are also a bit frowned upon in general unless they bring a unique value proposition to the network since the idea is that author rewards are used for effort and not a one-time thing you can set and forget and consistently earn rewards from.
For instance commentrewarder is meant to help engagement and make hive a better place, it also doesn't take a fee from the liquidation of beneficiary rewards to give authors 100% of the cut, so for that the work that went behind it and further maintenance and server hosting it may require it should be considered an okay thing for it to accept some post rewards. However if random authors were to automate each and ever little analytics or stats it may enter the area of abuse quite easily as we know autovotes are prominent on hive.
Just my opinion.
What you said makes perfect sense and that's why I'm happy to have asked before doing anything! :)
At first, I didn't thought about the automation issue because... I'm still learning and I'm not that good to automate all the process 🤣 but I see where the problem lies and I know that from automation to abuse the pace is short.
About the rewards I would have set @commentrewader as full beneficiary or burned them, just to clarify that the goal was not to rip some extra rewards.
That said, thanks for your answer and for explaining the reasons behind it: many understimate the importance of helping others understand the "why" of their opinions.
Now I see the issues, so I drop my idea before being hurt by it! 🤣
Yeah okay in that case I don't see why not, there's just a lot of those automated spams these days and people trying to get rewards for close to no effort. Didn't mean to accuse you of trying anything just thought I'd mention it.
Don't worry, I didn't feel accused :)
So, if I set as beneficiary @null or @hive.fund would it be ok for you? I can't set @commentrewarder as beneficiary because the author rewards would come back to me (unless I upvote at least one comment, but that wouldn't be a good solution either).
Sorry if I keep asking you these questions, but lately I'm trying to improve my coding skills by developing scripts with real use cases, and I'd like to create this one only if you (and @hivetrending) believe it may have some value and usefulness! If you feel that @commentrewarder's feed is already enough, I have no problems dropping this idea and trying to figure a different one :)
I really like the concept behind @commentrewarder, so I'd like to do something to help (a bit) spread its use! But if can do nothing, that's still fine and I can get back brainstorming new ideas.
Gracias por el apoyo 😊🙏🏻 @commentrewarder
This is a very good project
A very sound and benefiting project
Considering that this is just for a single day that is quite nice.
How nice! Excellent. I'm added as one more from now on.
Thank you, @commentrewarder
Amazing project si @commentrewarder
good rewards received so we must be attentive to continue advancing and growing with this project
