Zeke was the best rb this season, I'm going to tell you why. I have no hate towards, Bell or Johnson. First thing first, let's kill the o'line argument, Steelers run blocking is just as good as Dallas's. They both have elite olines, so to bash Zeke for his line and not Bell his is simply dumb. But back to the main topic of why Zeke was the best this season, Zeke was more valuable to his team this season. He was arguably the best blocking rb this season, along with being the most efficient overall. Zeke averaged 5.1 ypr, bell averaged 4.9 and Johnson averaged 4.2. Zeke led the league in yards per game and overall rush yards at the end of the season in 15 games racking up 1,631, Bell produced 1,268 in 12 games, and for Johnson 1,239 rush yards in 16 games. Now an argument I hear people bring for Bell is the receiving yards, he racks up which is respectable, but once you dig more that also favors Zeke. Bell is basically going out to run a route every time he isn't rushing, for Zeke that's not the same, he blocks a lot. As I stated above Zeke is the most
efficient all around, about to show you how he's more efficient as a catcher.
Bell has 94 targets and 75 catches..
(8.2 ypc)
Zeke has 39 targets and 32 catches.. (11.3 ypc)
Johnson has 120 targets and 80 catches (11.0 ypc)
Not asked to catch nearly as much but when he does get targeted he's nearly automatic. 81% catching percentage for Zeke, 79.8% catching percentage for Bell, 66.7% catching percentage.
Now let's mention those pesky tds, Johnson led the league in total tds but dude was a work horse (force fed) he had 20 tds this season. Zeke had 16 tds tds, and Bell had 9...
Zeke play changed a team around completely team went from 4-12 to 13-2 in games he played.
