Prince was a fan of David Icke and his books. As a long-time fan of both of these guys, I believe Icke inspired Prince to write songs such as "New World", "The War" ("If the government wants to put a microchip in your neck, Do U still love your country?"), and plenty of others. Prince was a truth-seeker who questioned everything, and hoped that his fans would do so as well. His song "Dreamer" ("Think they're spraying chemicals over the city while we sleep" was inspired by Dick Gregory).
