I've been watching Komodo for some time too, they were the first afaik to really get into atomic swaps. Multiple iterations of their platform has resulted in their AtomicDEX which actually works quite well and has over 6 years of code behind it already. Monero isn't on there yet, but I'M pretty sure someone is working on that... :) HTLC, ILP, IBC... Atomic swaps are definitely the future. Fuck the cex's and their back-door washtraded bs!
