RE: Peaks & Troughs of Covid Lockdown

in #covid4 years ago

Have to say, I loved the nowhere to go, nothing to do phase. It was worrying financially as I am in a no work, no pay situation but it didn't last long for me because my boss got a permit to reopen as an essential service early on. Manning the barricades till is a different kind of stress and I have been subjected to all kinds of abuse from people behaving badly in response to lockdown. I also suspect that I caught covid and was lucky enough to be a mostly asymptomatic person.

I wish my days were still subject to a total lack of routine. Luckily, my garden is a helluva mess, representing over 10 years of neglect and I enjoyed doing that during hard lockdown, which is past for us.

This too shall pass

yes, it is a new world order of different types.
some of my friends have had prosperous career changes due to the lockdown. the govt is throwing money around if you are in the right industry.
Good to hear you are gainfully employed.
I'm in limbo. No job, but enough savings to limp on for a while.
My kids are loving the home schooling & most days just zoom by so fast.
Having a couple of sunny days recently has been awesome. It makes going for a walk so much more enjoyable.
