Covid-19: United States repatriates 14 citizens of Timor-Leste

The United States Embassy in Dili today announced the repatriation of 14 US citizens of Timor-Leste East, due to the lack of commercial options to leave the country.

The diplomatic mission explains that the group, which left Dili today, includes citizens of the United States and permanent residents in that country, who “expressed a desire to leave Timor-Leste”.

“The State Department and the United States Embassy in Timor-Leste have the highest priority for the safety of US citizens abroad,” the statement said.
