Bangladesh - beautiful Country

Bangladesh is a small low laying country in the south Asia. It came into being in 1971 following a bloody battle. It’s total area is 1,47,570 sq km. the country is cress crossed by so many rivers and canals. The Padma, the Meghna, the Jamuna are the main big river of the country. The country has a topical monsoon climate.

Banhladesh has six seasons; they are winter, spring, summer, rainy, autumn and late autumn. The population of Bangladesh is about 150 million. Majority of them are Muslims and the rest are Hindus, Buddists and Christians. Over 98% of the people speak Bengali. English is also widely used.
Bangladesh depends on agriculture. Jute, rice, tea, sugar, oilseeds, vegetable, potato fruit are the cast crops of Bangladesh.

About 80% of people live in the village and agriculture is their main occupation. Chittagong and Mongla are two main sea ports of the country. Coxs bazaar a place of scenic beauty is the largest sea beach of the world.

There are some world heritage sites in Bangladesh such as the sundarbans, the Shat Gombuj Mosque of bagerhat etc. the people of Bangladesh are very much peace loving.
