Tower Tag Life in Virtual Reality

in #cossack6 years ago

Just last week, last Friday, we celebrated a birthday for one of the family members in one of the most unique compounds there is! We enjoyed original family activity, different and cohesive.

I am talking about the Tower Tag, a charming and innovative virtual reality complex located on the streets, enabling a wonderful experience that connects family members of different ages, friends, groups and any vehicle that you can think of.

The compound in question was opened in the current format about a month and a half ago, before which it operated in a smaller place.

The new complex allows to hold events in place and to combine a large number of participants since it consists of two floors:

Ground floor - the guest floor with a spacious and beautiful lobby

Also cool retro games featuring Nintendo and Sega consoles where you can be nostalgic and return to childhood with Super Mario, Sonic and more ...

In addition, you will be able to experiment with an exciting virtual reality egg that is suitable for a variety of ages, both my and my chicks have covered it!

Basement - the play area, where everything happens! The floor is divided into two spaces

For example, we played 8 people at the same time when we divided into 2 teams, and in each group 4 people (2 against 2) so we actually used all the game space on the floor.

There is also an option to play 6 people (3 against 3), this is the maximum that can be played together.

When we arrived, Zvi, one of the owners, who was very courteous and took us all the time to get there, made sure everyone understood how to work the fake reality glasses and the weapons .

At first we got a brief explanation about Tower Tag via video

And while everything sounds terribly confusing, the way you start playing, you'll get into things and you'll understand everything (and if not, one of the staff will make sure to borrow and explain as long as necessary).

What is Tower Tag?

It's kinda like a laser game where two rival teams have to eliminate the other team, but in this game you move between towers with simple technical operations, and you have to conquer each tower before you can move towards it.

By moving between tower and tower you can confuse the enemy and try to attack it from a different direction, or alternatively hide from it. With your weapons you will have to shoot at the opponents and eliminate them. It sounds simple, but requires strategy planning and collaboration with the group.

Our group consisted of children and adults of many ages, and everyone enjoyed it very much.

At any given moment you can see on the screens the progress of your team, and who leads scoring:

As shown in the picture, the yellow towers were conquered by one group and the blue by the other.

Here I am in action ;-)

As you can see in the following picture, the VR glasses are of the htc company and have the most advanced technology in the world in the field, as well as have built-in headphones and speakers with which to communicate with the team members.

This is an excellent solution for a joint recreation that includes families or groups with people of different ages, and allows to connect through a social and strategic game.

It is important to note that the game is suitable for children aged 10 and over, and in our group there were two children aged 4 and 6, so when we played they could wait for us at the side of the room, where there is a waiting area.

The computers on the premises are from Lenovo, which sponsors and supports the place.

Good to know-

The place also operates VR2GO - mobile stations suitable for events, conferences and festivals.

The VR2GO department builds virtual reality complexes from a small number of stations to productions of dozens of people with different and unique experiences.

In conclusion - we had a different and special experience, we enjoyed it very much! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to break a routine and do something different, interesting and innovative!

The entertainment can be continued throughout the city, you will be surprised to hear, the streets have plenty of excellent restaurants, cafes and bars just nearby.
