Another day, another growing list of souls lost to the world.
In the UK we had a further 381 deaths - our highest number in a single day so far.
Despite a few 'outliers' most people are now getting the message. This is serious. This virus means business.
In Britain at least I think we are now beginning to move past the initial stage of fear, panic and bewilderment. We are moving on to resolution, organisation and cooperation. Trying to adapt, trying to help, trying to do the best can.
But in between the little waves of positivity, hope and faith in our human nature, there will be intermittent surges of sadness and grief and despair.
One hit me yesterday. A friend, who I have worked with 20 years, phoned me last night.
He is 73, had a kidney transplant a short while ago and takes immunosuppressant drugs.
He is in the 'high risk group' that we hear so much about. He doesn't think he will make it.
He called to ask if I would mind if he gave my contact details to his daughter to help her sort out his clients if he dies.
That was a difficult phone call. What do you say? "Don't worry, it won't come to that".
But I know it might.
Sharon French @fitinfun - Charity Fund Raising
Many of you will now have heard about the sad passing of Steemian Sharon French in Malaysia. I carried details in yesterday's Corona Diaries.
Although the record of her death didn't say she died of the virus, it did state that the cause of death was pneumonia - the main lethal impact of Covid-19.
As Sharon had no family in Malaysia members of the Steem Community there including @happycrazycon and @iamjadeline are helping to sort out her affairs. Because of Sharon's poor health and financial situation they discovered she left a number of debts that need to be cleared including rent, utility bills and cleaning.
To help with this @gtpjfoodbank, and @littlenewthings, have set up a fundraising call...
Do please support this if you can...
Corona Contests
A number of people are running contests and challenges related to the current Covid-19 situation including @theycallmedan, @derangedvisions, @kus-knee, @invisusmundi

Please let me know if you are writing posts about how the Coronavirus is affecting you and your family. Post a comment below or message me on Discord (Pennsif#9921).
I am looking for posts about your life and how it is being affected rather than scientific commentary, or theories of where the virus came from. They are important, but not for these posts.
