Wow, I never knew this shit ! Good of you to share this, so now I know. But it is a bit frustrating that popular sites do this, and we should find a solution to stop this nonsense.
But I am amazed sometimes when just saying "It's on the block-chain, dude" seems to be enough.
On steemit, we have the potential to show a way, but a superficial approach might be a problem later on. We have to not only be a platform of free speech, we also must be an example for others to emulate. This is important because though we are building a community, it is looking pretty fair weather and we cannot let that happen if we want to last into the future.
And the only way to do that would be putting some soul into this. Somehow.
