Sudan's ruling General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan told a visiting US official the day before the coup that the army could take action against Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdak's government. According to the media outlet Axios, Burhan Khartoum spoke with Jeffrey Feltman, the Horn of Africa's representative in Washington.
