They said that cook can relief stress. As a kindergarten teacher, I tend to stress myself with all the school preparation. I do enjoy what I do right know. Yes, you have a right my statement before. But, I will tell you story for another time.
Every Weekend, I will cook a simple food for myself. It is my metime, it is just like a little vacation from me.
This time, I cooked a simple food - Veggie Fried Rice. As much as I can, I choose a healthy meal.
Ingredients:
- 3 pcs Garlic (chop it)
- ½ pcs Bombay Onion (you can change it with onion as you like). Chop it.
- 15 pcs chilies (I used different kind of chilly that I have in front of my garden since I like spicy food). Chop it.
- 1 pcs of sweetcorn (peel it off from the cob. I don’t like tin corn)
- 1 pcs of carrot. Chop it.
- 2 stalks of small celery (fresh from my garden too), chop it.
- 5 stalks of chinese cabbage. Chop it
- 10 pcs of prawns. Chop it.
- 1 bowl of cooked rice.
- 2 ½ tablespoon oil.
- 2 eggs, beaten.
Directions
Mix the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper, set aside.
Put some oil to wok, add the egg. Flip egg and cook other side briefly. Remove from wol and chop it into small piece.
Heat the oil in a wok; add chopped Bombay onion and stir fry. Then put the chopped garlic until all of those turn a nice brown color, about 8 – 10 minutes. Add chillies and prawns to wok, along with sweet corn, celery, carrot and chinese cabbage. Stir fry for (around 3 minutes).
Add rice and mix well. Stir fry for around 3 minutes. Then serve it.
