I really enjoyed writing this. I used to belong to a group where we would meet up and write monthly for fun, sadly the creative writing part of the group no longer exists. It was fun to reignite the part of my brain that makes up stories.
Wow! That's awesome! :D
The image was taken a couple months ago, where they were doing some work on a long walkway to a gazebo out on the local lake. It was a seriously foggy day, so I took a few shots with my phone, and then played around with the filters when I got home. :)
Hi this my submission for the contest.Mine is dope and educative.

Fantastic image! Great work, @vaughndemont. I’m already starting to conjure up a story idea. Thanks for running this awesome contest, @thewritersblock.

This lends itself to some creepy interpretations, but I think the real challenge might be to write something that isn't too dark and depressing.
What an idea provoking image this round! Congrats to @vaughndemont on the selection. I think this one has inspired me to make time for this—the art prompt is something I have missed participating in for a while now.
Congratulations, @vaughdemont! I might have something I've written already that I can use for this. It just needs editing to fit with the image better.

fabulous, I want to participate!
Thank you @vaughndemont - a great image to work with!
Here is my entry Another Life - I surprisingly wasn't drawn to the creepy aspect of this, the fog is just so beautiful it felt more magical than dark.

By the way @vaughndemont, this is a great image. There were numerous ideas that came by and I settled for this one. Awesome!
Here is my entry for this contest. Looking forward to reading the other entries! https://steemit.com/twentyfourhourshortstory/@nobyeni/thedogs-originalshortstory-x61g9q2tir
Just saw this a few days ago. Decided to write this post here. I was drawn more to the pier aspect and wished to still hightail it from the other contests I’ve recently been in.

I know I'm 2 hours late, so probably doesn't qualify, but if you're interested in reading it, here's my story based on the picture.

We are a little flexible, you're good.
Thanks so much for running this context @thewritersblock. This art prompt is absolutely fantastic, and clearly it was inspirational. It's impressive to see so many wonderful works of fiction inspired by @vaughndemont's image.
