I am relatively new on steemit, so first time participating here.
One of my favorite books is "Elantris" from Brandon Sanderson (as most other books from him). It plays in a fantasy setting in which a big magic city populated by strong magicians got suddenly destroyed 20 years ago and all its residents are now immortal zombie-like creatures that live in the ruins. At the beginning of the book the prince of the kingdom in which this city stands gets a curse which transforms him to one of those zombies, so he gets thrown into the ruins of the city.
Sounds nice, I'll check it out :)

Mine is an African novel titled "The Sugar Girl". It talks about a girl named Raliat who was missing from home under mysterious and unfortunate circumstances. Therefore, she had to go through ordeals, one after the other.
First in the hands of a wicked witch and then a hunter. It was very interesting because it kept me in suspense if she would survive these ordeals and return home...try it, it is actually a short story.

My favorite book is To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf. It is a modernist novel written in stream-of-consciousness. Virginia Woolf is awesome at this, and she uses it to analyze the life of the Ramsey family, exploring their relationship with each other and also a few of their friends.

Having a toddler, I don’t get much time to enjoy books lately - sadly. But I do get to read to my daughter - at the moment her favourite is The Stick Man by Julia Donaldson. It’s such a cute story about a anthropomorphic wooden stick who becomes separated from his family and ends up on an Odyssey-like adventure to return. :)

Funny that I was thinking about writing a blog entry about a book the other day. It's really hard to choose one favorite, but I'm going to go with the one I was thinking of writing the entry (which I may do at some point), the book:
Good Omens. It is a book written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, a book about the end of the world, as seen by different characters. An angel, a demon, the antichrist, a descendant of a witch whose prophecies were always right. And it is, of course, a ton of fun. It is a book that has had me laughing out loud in the public transport, with people wondering if I was crazy. It is a book that I have recommended and will keep recommending, to everyone I talk about books with. And I'm going to shut up now to avoid a huge reply, but you should really read it :)
Haha I'll give it a try if you're so passionate about it. Not a huge fan of Terry Pratchett though...
Sad to say, but if you don't like the kind of humor Terry Pratchett has in his books, you probably won't like Good Omens :(

I have a lot of favorite books. Harry Potter series was on top for quite some time.
Now it's "IF TOMORROW COMES" by Sydney Sheldon. It's a great thrilling story, full of adventures.
My favorite book is 'The war of art: WInning the inner creative battle'. It is divided into three sections:
Each section is further broken down into one-two page segments.
The first two sections really got me thinking. Right now I'm reading the third chapter!
