Hi, lottery is a thing of fun, i think with picking a category or field while the contestants make comments towards the chosen topic . The comments should be numbered as they come in and this should count as d lottery number to choose the winner
I am new. I think daily lottery is good. Higher reward is even better. May be a specific task like write a original content of more than 1000 characters to participate in encouraging.

What would really make it a little more lucrative without costing you anything would be to link a post from the winning lottery person of their choice. That way the not only win some SBD but also a little but of publicity.

It's a pretty nice idea.. A wonderful way to be a free giver too.. To make it more interesting let users pick a continent, a colour and a number from 1 to 20... Then you'll randomly pick one of the three categories, so the winner is the person that has all three correct there could also be consolation prizes.. It's how we do it in the military base. Like an innovative form of bingo
It's a good idea babaj but I'm afraid it would be too much work for me. Yesterday we had 71 participants and I'm expecting this number to grow. It could become very labor intensive ;)

People would have to create a specific post. Howevee, unlike contests, the posts wouldn't be judged or anything. Ex- author will create rule of creating a roastyourself post. This way, the community would get some nice quality posts, but people would not be desperate enoug to use upvote votes or stuff to win cause the posts won't be judged

I think to do a lottery where the winner is some random person isn't interesting.Better to let the randomness will mix with intelligence.
My idea:
Write in article some questions (historical,scientific, or other) and let people answer only ONE .
Then select random number from 1 to the number of questions.The winner - First who answer to the question.Questions can be very simple ( even 2 + 2)

Well I think you could ask questions about well-known topics such as movies, science, art, sports among other things.The most accurate answer or best explained wins the award.
Maybe a day where all responses have to follow a certain rule like: Memes only as reply or only answer in morse code or something like that.

Probably provide a small puzzle and run a lucky draw from the group of people answering correctly. Or assured small reward if answered correctly.
You could give consolation prizes to the best reply and reply with most upvotes. It'll increase the number of winners and make participants more creative

Guess we can make it more fun by playing word games too. E.g making a last letter of a word to form another word.
Interesting idea, but how to know which word was the previous one? Comments are not sorted by time of posting.
Ask puzzels or quizzes with multiple way of answers. It can be used to earn bonus reward along with the random winner thing( which is now going on).
Or you can use this twice in a week as bonus reward contest so that more people can engage in this and they would not loose intrest from this.. 😁😁😁
Good idea, but I'm not sure how many puzzles or quizzes I can come up with. Once or twice a week is a nice touch, I should have more time on the weekends.

If you could ask some brain teasing questions, it would be more interesting.
Maybe you could add a weekend special with two winners or choose a first, second and third place every time. This would reward more people, even if the sums would not be that high.
I've thought about rewarding more people, but I would like the reward to be higher for that. I like the weekend special, I'll try to come up with something fun that requires people to create some unique content.
I guess you have to make the prize higher LOL that's way entertaining. Well seriously it's more interacting if you would give 2 more steemians a chance like 2nd winner and third :D or just question that isn't for kids it's more entertaing that way :D

Interesting ideas, especially the quiz component where people will have to put in some effort. I kind of like the low entry threshold for now though. Perhaps when I get more followers I can raise the bar a bit ;)
That makes sense :) I think there's always going to be a tradeoff between making things more interesting and how easy it is to get in, but it makes a lot of sense to keep the entry threshold as low as possible until you have a big enough participation base.
More winners per day. Or add a brain teaser and the lottery pool will only come from those who correctly answer the brain teaser.

I suggest if there are quality replies with multiple like, at the end of the contest each like can add points (say like 3 for each) to the final result.
From there we can prevent a great reply from losing to a random post, which the author may lose their interest on participating.
Thank you for this idea. I do want everyone to have an equal chance though, even those whose English is less good. But it's very true that some people put in a lot more effort than others. Perhaps a second price for the best comment with the most upvotes would work...
