Tonga and Papua New Guinea are scheduled to play their OFC Under-19 Championship group A game on 8/5/18 at 9:00pm EST. Eight teams will compete for two spots to the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup. The top two teams from group A will play the top two teams from group B in the semifinals. Tonga qualified from the developing associations round robin tournament by defeating Cook Islands and American Samoa then drawing versus Samoa. They advanced over Samoa based on a goal differential tiebreaker. Papua New Guinea's best finish in the championship round is 4th place in 1982.
