Up until 2 weeks ago, my SteemIt experience was quite of a bumpy ride, with loads of hurdles and setbacks.
I spent a lot of time on SteemIt, and filled my days with feeling intimidated by all those talented writers, thinking of myself as being a failure and feeling frustrated because my posts didn't make decent money.
It was only 4 days ago that it struck me: I realized that SteemIt was not all about the money. I discovered that it was so much more than just another way to earn. The biggest strength of SteemIt is its community.
It's admirable to see how many people are putting in an effort to help others succeed, or are willing to join forces in the war against spam.
It has been a long time since I've seen such a level of engagement. People are working together to make the platform a better place for everyone.
Of course, the money is a part of the game, but the realization that I was part of such a strong community was - and will forever be - my best experience on SteemIt.

I have read the full story and you are 100% correct! It is so awesome to see you supporting @ossyjay and he supporting you on your contests... And @royaleagle and @beeyou @leebaong are all new to games too and we are all helping each other! Its fantastic and renewing to see such enthusiasm and committment!
Thanks @davemccoy, it’s indeed a good feeling to support and be supported :0)
Right on! @simplymike community spirit is something that we encourage here on steemit. Rewards do not only come in the way of money and to see everyone here, participating, sharing their experiences here, that's reward enough for me. Thanks for sharing!
