RE: 24th Daily Steemit Upvote Lottery

in #contest7 years ago

Hi!
Some ideas to make things more interesting:

  • Add some kind of "guessing" mechanic (v.g. choose between four colours, only the people that gets it right is actually in the pool for winning the lottery). This may be shitty for people getting it wrong XD
  • Add some kind of quiz component, instead of having to tell you about something, ask a question that has a correct answer and people needs to research a bit.
  • Do some kind of free writing. You give maybe the start of a story or a brief description, or some words we need to use, and we have to write a short story with that. That may be a lot of work for you if you plan on reviewing them afterwards though ^^". Something in between of this would be something like.. in order to participate in this week's lotteries, you have a free writing thing, that we need to post on a blog of our own and link (as proof that we have done it). You could then also reesteem or promote somehow the best ones, or the ones that win a lottery during that week.

Interesting ideas, especially the quiz component where people will have to put in some effort. I kind of like the low entry threshold for now though. Perhaps when I get more followers I can raise the bar a bit ;)

That makes sense :) I think there's always going to be a tradeoff between making things more interesting and how easy it is to get in, but it makes a lot of sense to keep the entry threshold as low as possible until you have a big enough participation base.
