Today I am holding my very first competition. I know it’s tiny with a prize of only 0.1 SBD. If this competition is successful, I am planning to hold bigger and bigger competitions in the future.
It's not the winning but the taking part that matters!

Today’s Question
This is my first competition so there is no question today. Just leave any comment. But it has to be encrypted!
Please follow the instructions below.
How is this competition different?
In this competition, you need to give your answer in encrypted form. Hence the name Crypto Competition. All the answers are given in the comments but will remain secret until the end of the competition. When the competition is over the secret key is revealed and a winner is chosen based on a random number generator. The method is explained in detail in my recent posts on Using Cryptography to Run Quiz Contests on Steem Part 1 and Part 2
But you don’t have to read all that. Just follow the instructions.
The public key
The public key for this competition is
-----BEGIN PUBLIC KEY-----
MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQCv5NLrW2i8dZC0BVKZwHXFKXa4
LXgyIRNRLY2uLUU35cCojwmLzfTX/kt1QaaWhn8zh5jcc4oNtx9o/v32dNVigQyJ

-----END PUBLIC KEY-----

Choosing the winner
The winner will be fairly chosen from all entries according to the method described here. If you trust me, ignore the following. If you don’t, please read on.
I have chosen a number and encrypted it. The result is
jcm11KmrVa7Om4bgwRKuhMFkBsu/X8p7GWWxW5+B8rBb5gsjmhS+QxhWYUsRFdFA0K6IgM8qd6pz/RXphY05Gj2WL93kFmHmmOSv4r1abwrMRmq9WMHQfk0jkTVxguO4SGOS9XFPqfhrQoXgHWehyzrznox/lpF1k7rNtjXmcaQ=
When the competition is over, all answers will be decrypted. The number of characters will be added up and added to the number I have chosen. The result will be used as a seed for the random number generator here. The random number generator will choose the winner from all entries.
Why do you need to upvote to enter?
I am a minnow, so I can’t afford a large prize money. If many people upvote this post I will be able to increase the prize money in future. “But my vote is worth more than your prize money” I hear you say. If that is the case, please support me with a partial vote.
This. Kudos to you for carving yourself out a neat and creative idea here on steemit, where seemingly it is "contests galore," but most get a bit boring lol. This is unique and also helps teach people a new skill! I'm omw to the encryptor now :) . And here's my message! (Let's hope that worked. Just an aside--the "public key" only worked when I copied and pasted EVERYTHING, including the text "---Begin Public Key---" fyi.

Very cool!
Thanks for the really positive reply. Being the only contestant, you are today's winner. I have transferred 0.1 SBD into your wallet. See the results here. I did figure it out :-)
Also thanks for the comment regarding copying the key. I will update the instructions for the next competition.
No prob. Like I said in my other comment, I think things are just a bit"slow" around here atm, but it'll pick up :) I'm doing a contest as well, which, I have had ZERO particpants as of yet, so lol it's also my first one, too. We'll see. But yeah, the link to the decrypter seemed busted--I found another PGP decrypter, though--would it work too? https://www.igolder.com/pgp/decryption/?
I have everything (I think) except the PGP password/ keyphrase... was one made when you did this process? Or was yours done with a "different program," so to speak?
