I have but a small family, we are 4 in the family and two of which are 6 yrs old and 1 yr old. So basically, we always eat together or else I would go insane if I do it alone with the kids. You know all the mess they create. So mealtime is family time too.

And if you wanna know, we belong to a bigger family on both sides. We are present during certain occasions like family birthdays, fiesta, all souls day, holy week, christmas and new year. Those events is a must that we go home or you have to prepare a 2 page explanation as to why you cannot attend.. hehe lols.
