What stops me from my dream is, lazy to pursue a dream, and lacks confidence, and lacks the support of the nearest person .. and the environment is less supportive .. but most importantly, it is a cost that is less, to pursue a dream..

Thank for question @kwakumax

I think most people share this view. The lack of support from mostly family members can do a lot of harm for people's dreams.

thanks for the suggestion, it is very useful for my life, and I will try, to realize my dream..
Many thank @kwakumax

Ok so I know what my dreams are and I have been looking for the best means of approach because to a bystander it looks far fetched but then passion is passion. And so when I it looks like I've found a means of approach or literally a path, I allow myself to be overwhelmed by schoolwork and my life itself, and then that path which was so clear becomes bleak having joined in the overwhelming party. And so in the end, I'm my own blockade, I'm the very thing stopping me from pursuing my dreams, cos I can't even stick to one means

That means you've got to find a way to combine doing two things at a time for now. You can decide to give your dreams 1 hour a day and give the rest to your school work. It will pay you huge dividends in the long run but you've got to find a way. Thanks for your input.

Too much flexibility is my biggest problem from fulfilling my dream. If i desire to achieve something today, that desire would remain valid until at least i see something different, then i will loose focus on what i have desired to achieve.
Still struggling to overcome the habit any way.

I think you are not the only one suffering in this department. There are a lot of people who really can't stick to one thing. I think you haven't encountered that thing that makes you passionate. Keep on nurturing your mind by reading books such as rich dad poor dad. I believe along the way, you'll discover your passions.

"Rich dad and poor dad" i have read it over and over again... My problem is that i can't stay on a project for too long,i always long to experience new things.
Thanks for your advice, probably reading more books on the subject can indeed help me out...

I think I get you now. You haven't found that one thing that you can be extremely passionate about yet. Don't worry, so long as you don't give up, you will clearly get there. And you are right, reading more books can give you a lot of clues. All the best in your quest. I hope you find it soon and make the world a more interesting place with it.

Oh,thanks,i really appreciate.
I know i have passion for writing, teaching and farming, but setting my priority in this three field is a serious problem for me.

I know you will definitely get there.

Sure,thanks.... I so much appreciate you and opportunity to look inward into our inner man.

The 'I can't do' spirit is stopping me from persuing my dreams. This spirit arises as a cause of fear and panic, and sometimes when i am met with cynicism and doubt or when others tell me i can't... This alone stops me from persuing my dream of becoming one of the finest industrials in the field of engineering.

You've got to overcome that fear. Remember it's all in your head and fear just like fire spreads if unchecked. If you think you can do it, let that be reason enough and if you fail, try again. That's how life is.

Nothing stops me from my dream but ME . Ahuh, myself. Why do I say this?.
I have come to learn one thing in life that no one has control and power over me, not my mind, not my conscience, not my heart or even my body Nothing but MYSELF ALONE.

If i may asks who dream dreams? And who sets visions and ambitions .I , I do them all by myself so why do i terminate them?. Its because I allowed myself to.I could have done that one thing that would have pushed forward in life better and closer to my dreams, yet i failed to do that. I blame myself not procrastination or laziness.. I allowed them in not anyone .

So for me ? The only one deadly thing #Stopping #Me. #From #Pursuing my dream is ME

It's true. Not just for you but all of us. But something can always be done about it. If only you are willing to, you will find a solution to this predicament.

Indiscipline, I can't do spirit, laziness, the fear of taking risks, procrastination, ones self, environment, too much flexibility, and the likes maybe an obstacle for not pursuing one's dreams but for me I have come to the realisation that we often times neglect the God factor because it's stated in the NIV Bilbe that "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. (Proverbs 19:21). And there's also an adage that says "do your best and God will do the rest" so not doing my best to overcome those obstacles and neglecting the God factor is my reason for not pursuing my dreams.

I think you already have an answer for your problem. I hope it all goes well for you. The God factor is really important for we Christians. Without that, everything can be achieved but there will be no real happiness attached.

What's stopping me from achieving my dreams is the fear of change, the fear of changing from who I am to what I will become when I achieve my dreams, but change is the only thing that doesn't change so I guess I have to learn to accept it and achieve my dreams.

You are totally right. You've got to love change and get in the right mindset to achieve your dreams .I hope you dare to do the things you've set out to do because someone might be inspired by your actions.

Yaayy.....this came as a surprise. I least expected it. Thanks. @kwakumax

You are welcome @serwaa. Keep engaging more and you get more from the community

My dreams keep me from pursuing them, my dreams scare me so much that i stay awake pondering on how to escape the fear of failure .
The dreams that keep me from pursuing my dreams are those ones moulded and monitored by society and family. If only i could tell them i never wanted to be a doctor but a writer , if only i could tell them my passion was singing and not engineering . At the end i realise my dreams casted by my family and society actually keeps me from my dream.

We've all been there and sadly some of us are still there. I think you've got to find a way to break free from way of life you follow your goals. Remember in the end, it's only the chances you didn't take, that we'll regret the most.

Don’t be surprised as i am writing this i can’t even figure out my dream and most people find themselves in my situation but i believe it shouldn’t be a limitation. The problem of not knowing my dream is preventing me from pursuing my dream.

Then you've got to find a way soon. Might I suggest, you read books to give you most perspective. Just don't give up.

Nice contest of friends, thanks for sharing

Age is stoping me from pursuing my dreams.

Age is just a number. Cornel Sanders of KFC fame started after his 60's . You too can.

He was in US, I am in Nigeria. But true tho

I hope you've read his story. It doesn't matter where you're from. Your mind is more powerful than anything on this planet. Once you learn how to use it to your advantage, nothing can stop you.

Thanks my big man @kwakumax for this thought provoking challenge. I have decided to answer you question through a short follow up post. I hope you find it useful. https://steemit.com/motivation/@osmansnr/the-fear-of-failure
