Lost into the Woods [My greatest scars]

March 2017 when I had these scars which I got from one of my travels last year. It was my first time to travel alone in Sagada, Philippines. So my first destination is to reach the summit of Mt. Ampucao and I was able to get on top. It's just that my adventurous self pushed my limit to do a traverse going to the Lake Danum which was a tricky trek and so I got lost into the woods. I was out there looking for different paths for more than 3 hours and even went off trail just to get a quicker route which lead me to these scars and bruises.

It's been more than a year now and gladly I was able to move on to that traumatic experience that I had. The funny part here is that my reason for doing that alone... I tried to stay on budget so I can cut off the fee of having a guide which was paid for P1000 per group I think but I ended up giving the rescuers P1200. LOL.

Sometimes I hate myself for being so thrifty that I end up like this for being that kind of traveler. But now, I learned from it, and I will you use to become a better in terms of decision making with my budget and travels.

I can totally relate. There were several times as well in the past where I wanted to save for tour guide fees but ended paying more.

I am glad the rescuers found you!

Meron atang curse ung Lake danum ..my husband and I got lost as well finding it pero we managed to find it after getting wet from the rain.
