This is a great idea! I started on Steemit last summer around June. I spent about a week perusing the content by other creators, getting to know people commenting and upvoting. I finally got the courage to start sharing my work. I remember the first morning I woke up and looked at my blog to see how one of my posts did overnight. To my surprise the post hit above $100 steem. It kept going and topped out around $400 steem before deprecating back to $300 at the time of my payouts. I was invigorated. I had such clear focus and it kindled a new flame within my spirit. For about two months up until we lost a family member, I posted daily - I found energy I hadn’t felt in forever, I was having fun exploring my creativity without demands of meeting client needs, building their solutions and finding ways for their success. I took a bit of a break as with a broken heart, I just lost all "steem" to get in here and do my thing. BUT, I have been back now for about a month or so and I'm definitely here to stay. Things have been slower for me in regard to how many people actively upvote and interact with me on my posts, but I have a positive outlook that with continual interaction with this community that things will continue to go in the right direction here. Thanks for letting us share - Much love! - @j-vo

A big payout is always a strong motivation. It's like a breath of fresh air. You feel like "yeah, I'm here now and I'm never going anywhere!" and you just keep plugging away with the aim of getting better results. I am so sorry for your loss, my condolences. It's really painful when we lose a loved one and such a loss could surpass drive for a lot of things, even money. Life goes on however, I'm sure you're still healing and i'm glad you decided to go back at it. I'm sure the love and support of good steemians will soon put you back on track.
Thanks for your share! @j-vo
