Turmeric is the spice that gives curry its yellow color.

It has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb.

Recently, science has started to back up what the Indians have known for a long time... it really does contain compounds with medicinal properties (1).

These compounds are called curcuminoids, the most important of which is curcumin.

Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.

Congratulations, you are first runner up.

hello @emjoe Regards. MY FIRST PARTICIPATION
Turmeric, a spice with miraculous properties. It is a plant that has been used as a spice for hundreds of years. It is characterized by being yellow or mustard and having a specific flavor, which gives another taste to the meals. In addition, its consumption has many benefits for health. What is turmeric and where do I get it - know the turmeric and sago that are true medicines. Turmeric is a spice obtained from the root of the curcuma longa plant that is widely used in Southeast Asia especially India. It has a slightly sweet flavor, with hints of wood on a very mild and slightly bitter spicy background. It is included in many curry mixes, to which it gives its characteristic yellow color; in chutneys, soft mustards, sauces and pickles, although the most used is as a colorant. Turmeric is a widely used spice in India and Southeast Asia, where the plant originates from, although it is now grown in many other regions warm and humid. It has been used for more than four thousand years in gastronomy. Curcumin is also advantageous for the cardiovascular system. It also has something to contribute to neurodegenerative diseases and Alzheimer's especially.
It is a safe food, even in high doses. It is not irritating or allergenic.

However, in case of gallbladder disorder it is recommended not to abuse and consult with the doctor.

It is also not indicated in high doses if anticoagulant medications are taken, such as warfarin or even aspirin, because it could potentiate its effect.
