Ginger shrub. It is gorgeous. I had planted ginger root but the plant died with the drought. Then I managed to find this ginger shrub. It is very mild tasting but the flowers are such a show although as you can see my herb garden is mostly just soil now as we disconnected the irrigation.

A plant that can handle drought is a friend indeed! Spectalcular looker, I will put this on my list of plants to plant!
