It will be very hard to make these contests self-sustainbale so they make a profit over time. Everyone under 500 Steem Power will see their voting power completely drained after participating and everyone above 500 Steem Power will slide the voting power down all the way not to get drained. This will make the average amount of $ from each participant being very small as only people with no power at all will participate and leave these posts without getting any real whale votes.
Good luck finding a way to make it work (I could also be wrong on this)
