I'm not real excited about VR. It is going to get interesting, and as the other physical gadgets(non-visual) get cheaper a lot more people will start getting deeper in. When people can easily afford something more than just the goggles, it will start becoming highly adictive.
One thing that I think will get really big though, is virtual assets within game worlds. Think D&D or Second Life and basically virtual real estate. It's been going on for a while but with the addition of VR, it won't just be us nerds playing or mamma's boy basement dwellers.
