We call it natural gardening ( laissez-faire attitude), but that's actually a bamboo grove! Never knew that they get this huge in the north of germany until we planted it. We got 5 types of bamboo some growing over the rooftop by now. It's a fun material to experiment with!
Wow! I've been considering bamboo here. We have one that grows well in ditches and is quite aggressive. As kids, we would harvest it to use as weapons in our neighborhood wars. It would be good in our ditch out front to keep the road noise down... I'll float the idea to the wife.
It grows rapidly though. I will soon post more about bamboo in general. I started trying out some DIY projects and the ultimate goal is to build a bamboo yurt. If you start growing it, just make sure you create a border underground so it doesn't take over your whole garden! That's kind of what happened here.. but I love it.
