Why aren't more girls pursuing careers in computer science and technology?
I think it is a cultural question, society in general tends to visualize the girl-woman as the one who should take care of the home, the children, fashion and even worse, someone who should only think about how to be beautiful, even if it means putting her life in danger with the use of chemicals, with operations whose risk is very high for her life, all for the sake of banal beauty.
Women's liberation has not really translated into women's empowerment in the field of technology, not to mention the many barriers that still exist in this area for girls.
