Click the 3 stripes in the top right of your steemit browser page. Halfway down is chat. That's a social interaction application for steemit. It's like a chatroom sorta. You'll see. Sign up there and you can message me, groups of people in channels, and find other steemers.

its is called steem chat. Rocket chat is the framework or software that backs steem chat.
