Congratulations on creating this contest. It creates new opportunities for other artists out there to get more exposure. We need more events like these on the platform. I'm glad there are a lot of steemians like you taking more initiative on this.
However, I do need to comment on the set winning conditions. If the winner is decided based on the number of votes, wouldn't that be a disadvantage for artists that have yet to create their fan base on the platform. If votes are the only bases for winning, one could draw a character with little effort and win by popularity rather than actual skill in rendering an image.
I understand this is your first contest organized. I hope you reconsider the winning conditions for your next contest.
Thank you for the comment there... I just wanted to create a contest where any kind of anime art could get proper exposure...
What you said is exactly what I was wondering after posting the contest details.
Before posting the details of the contest I was wondering how should the winner be decided...and thought people would consider on who to vote based on what they feel is the best art work out there! (I was wrong on that)
I saw my mistake properly when new artists who just started on steemit joined the contest had good art works but no one upvoted for them.
I would properly apologise for this to everyone who participated and reconsider the details, maybe get an expert artist to curate the art and see who deserves to win. or i'll try to decide the winner myself for the next one.
thank you for taking the time to comment.
I'll try hard to fix things for the next one! :)
Well I consider your contest a success when it comes to engagement. A lot of views here and participation going. Just needs some room for improvement and I'm glad you already gained some insight on what to do better for the next contest. There's no need to apologize this. It's your contest your rules and people are free to participate. Good luck on your next contest. I might've joined this one if I wasn't busy on other matters.
Thanks for your acknowledgement!
I'll look forward to see you in the next one.
Thank you!
Keep steeming!
