Often times I wonder how a bunch of steemians like @surpassinggoogle @stellabelle and the likes find such amazing inspiration to write such thought-provoking posts.
Imagine @surpassinggoogle coming up with the #untalented curriculum. A curriculum every newbie undergoes first once they join steemit and they come out refined and redirected.
So I thought of how best I could inspire my steemit community as well as add knowledge to this platform. I understand we have all gone through a school called "life" as @surpassinggoogle calls it and we all have one major lesson we have learnt from it.
I am a sociologist as well as a researcher, and my discipline has allowed me have social interaction with a lot of people ranging from young to old. Since learning is from cradle to grave. I have come to understand each individual has gone through stuffs in life which has taught them one major lesson in life.
Being an inquisitive person, I ask diverse questions from diverse individuals all to learn from their bowels of wisdom.
Thus, I have come up with this contest for you to dip into your wealth of knowledge a little cup of wisdom unto fellow steemians.
One of my guiding principles in life is to live at peace with all men. Hence, my utmost lesson in life is that "Life is too short to live in unhappiness, make every minute count, be happy - no one would do that for you"
For this contest, you should share one major lesson you have learnt from the "School of Life"

Let the experiential learning begin!
Ok, I'll bite. I'll give you a two-fer.
One time I was arrested and had to go to court. I was distraught, but I thought that the truth would prevail. It didn't. You know what did? The marketing. In a trial with no evidence but one person's word against another, the better crafted story wins.
My idea of how society and the world worked completely unraveled. I had experienced personal betrayal before and suspected there was no glue of justice and truth holding things together in broader society because I had read about it, but I before that I hadn't experienced it at the institutional and foundational level.
Well, this is where part two comes in. Yes yes, the unraveling(and believe me that consumed me for a while), but from that came a freedom and opening of the mind that things are not as they appear. This thing we think of as a machine we are a part of or caught in is not as real as we think it is. It is a construct. FOMO, current events, social media, blockchain, ICO, tv...honestly, if you don't want to care, you don't have to. Just shut the machine off and do something you do want to do.
Here's a third: If you are doing things you do want to do to the exclusion of things you don't really care about(i.e. ideas that were planted in you by the marketing of your peers, family, advertisers, etc.), you can probably live with much, much less money and less bullshit to get it.
Wow! I love your first, indeed what wins is the best crafted story: the truth is viewed from different angles, the best to share the story wins. You just have to play safe.
Your third, is that family networking?
School of Life
One major lesson have learnt from the school is this.....
In life, it will not dim your light if you allow others to light from your lamp.
In other words, be kind and generous to others. Show care genuinely
Like the saying goes, givers never lack. I Tey and be the source don't depend on others and you will see your self excelling in life. Good one bro
Awesome and 100% true
Thank bro
Very true...
Thanks
Helping others without any strings attached would go a long way to your own growth. As the currency we spend in life is relationship... Being kind to others means investing in others and this would help out in time of need anytime
Help others not to get favours in return. That's realness
Real Talk
That is true
True words
You are right. If we care enough and share enough, we will see that the world has enough of our need but never enough for our greed.
Sureeeee... Kindness always pays... It might not be immediately, but it surely will
Act of kindness don't go unrewarded.
I vote you bro
Thanks man
Really agree with you dear that its a major lesson which we have learn from School
Oh yhhhhhhh
Cool idea
LIFE IS A HERO’S JOURNEY
Whether you realize it or not, you are the hero of your story.
At the end of your life, all you’re going to be left with is a story made up of events and experiences. The most important thing you can do is to make that story epic. That is why I suggest that you always choose a life made up of experiences instead of one made of possesions.
Amazingly sustained and well said,a life of experience is a greather one, and being victorious is also part of it
Hmmmmm... A life of experiences and notnpossessions. That really got me. Money should be spent on experiences either bettering the lives of others or self development. Thanks for participating
What i learned about the school of life.
Life will either bless you or bury you. It is not what others say about you that matters but what you say to yourself when they are done talking. "Life is nothing but like a walking shadow. A poor player that strut and fret his hour upon the stage and is heard no more, is like a tale, told by idiots, full of sound of fury, signifying nothing". Meaning, don't take life too serious, you can never get out of it alive. Do all you can to make impacts and always seek to learn to be able to give more of yourself out. They used to say curiosity killed the cat but then i would say, the cat die nobly.
Life is meant to be lived for others and not for yourself because in living for others, you find yourself.
I will end on this note: "There was a man who never laughed or played, he never sing, he never danced or played. Then one day, he died, his insurance was denied for they claimed he never really lived, so he never really died".
Wooow! This is top nutch! I can relate with, those who take life too serious end up being seriously seriously alone. Living for others will in turn be a blessing to you. A life without impact is like a snail walking on the rock. Live meaningfully.
You nailed it. Spot on. You totally captured it all. Thank you for that. "A life without impact is like a snail walking on the rock". This is deep!
I learnt that what so ever you do, there is always a result. And that a step you take in life decides your stand in life.
Angel Heart.
be kind and generous to others.
Good article
This should be interesting. Thank you for this. Entries coming right up.
-the school of life taught us certain important factors, the first concept is to be happy always do not accept defeat , the third process be victorious , defeat challenges be victorious everyday , life is too short eat well and exercise well, maintain a strong stand no matter how the situation of things may be thanks for this great post
Yesso! Life is too short to live in unhappiness. Live every moment with peace of mind. It pays more
