You have written quite a few good articles. Why would you murder your reputation with thephrase "flat earth"? Surely you don't think the Earth is really flat. Human beings cannot feel movement but we feel accelerations. In a car there are so many bumps in the road and changes in speed and direction we feel these accelerations. I feel them less in a train and even less in an aeroplane. On a planet none at all.

Rotation of the Earth means the surface accelerates by changing its direction but the gravity compensates for this many times over. Now, since there is often these bumps and accelerations in cars this acceleration feeling is conflated with "motion". Leading to phrases such as, "I can feel the car moving."
