It's been a busy and tough week for us as we've been preparing to get a rather large patch out this week.
As we grow closer to Halloween, we've been preparing a variety of new weapon visuals and spell visuals to fit the Halloween theme which will be available in the Heroes Jewels shop. Of course we have some new Halloween based events to go along with this where you can read about at: http://tinyurl.com/gstc4r7
One problem Conquer has is the lack of ability for projectiles making it difficult to implement certain mechanics into the game. Of course Rebirth will be real-time and have projectiles so in preparation of being able to model PvP around this we've managed to employ a 'hack' (not as in a cheat) to Heroes allowing us to control how fast a person moves be it jumping or walking. This brings us closer to more realistic crowd-control expectations you would see in a more refined game such as having slows, mini-stuns, etc.
Very soon we'll be launching a weekly tournament ft. Jewels as a prize. The prize isn't as extravagant that it'll cause large saturation in the market as the total Jewels given out in the tournament each week are about $40 USD worth and this is at the current Paypal prices of Jewels. The current planned tournaments include 1v1, 2v2 and 5v5 single elimination tournaments either being hit based (player level/gear does not matter) or ones where all skills and item types are usable.
Currently, we're working on a new interface for this tournament. It's important to note that by creating our own interfaces not only does it allow us add custom content, but allows us to achieve backwards compatibility with older client versions such as the one Apex uses.
We apologize for the inactivity as of recent, but many things are right around the corner and we hope you're all looking forward to what's to come!
