The Florida Legislature, in its' infinite wisdom, has made certain behavior by directors felonies. Failing to allow access to official records is now considered tampering with evidence, a felony. If a director accepts anything of value (a tissue after sneezing) it is punishable with a civil penalty; theft or embezzlement of association funds is a felony as is tampering with or forging a ballot. If you are charged witha crime you must resign your post until cleared (what happened to innocent until proven guilty?).
When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. I yearn for the days of the Pork Choppers, rural hog farmers in north Florida vs. Lamb Choppers, (rich people in Mia-muh, as pronounced by them). This Legislature is out of control....more to come, let me know if you like my snarky comments I'll post more....
