One year ago we created a business, creating work wear products made from organic European hemp. Our first item was the creating of a short sleeve chefs jacket. This item was chosen as one of our directors is a highly trained international chef. After searching for a hemp chef jacket for 4 years, Wade McGilvray ( owner/director husk & stem , axiomindustries) decided to create a design that was a classic look with great new comfort features. As hemp is a fiber of the past and future, this was an easy option for our first sustainable fiber to focus on.
We will be honest, its not easy getting into the clothing industry or developing a new brand, but with persistence and encouragement by nearly every person who hears of our direction, we will get there.
