1.3% (3,464) of those who took the University Selection Test (PSU) are foreigners. Of these, according to data provided by the Department of Evaluation, Measurement and Educational Registration (Demre), those who obtained the best results this year in the language test are Venezuelans. 53% of them took between 500 and 650 points.

They are followed by Ecuadorians, with 45% of scores in this range. The Argentines and Colombians tied, with 41% in the same stretch.
The situation is repeated in the case of the Mathematics test, where Venezuela also has the best results.

the two scores probably have to do with the fact that they are populations that have been integrated into Chile for more years. And many Venezuelans arrive who are professionals and give proof. Therefore, it is most likely that the population is more integrated than others.

For some experts, what happens with the people of this nation that surrender the PSU is not only merit of having integrated in advance to the Chilean society. Omar Aravena, researcher at the center of educational leadership (Cedle), estimates that "the results of these students are the product of a profound reform of the school system that has positioned Venezuela among the most advanced countries in education in Latin America. It was a super powerful and extremist reform, but if we think about it, these students are the product of it: gratuity, use of technology and critical citizen education ".
