The beauty of the COMMUNITY - Big POWER behind "small" people

in #community6 years ago (edited)

A lot of things in life can be done by just one person - you. Let's be honest and say if you have your friends, colleagues or teammates by your side you can feel the power and energy of a group. Things and problems become easier and your life seems more beautiful. I want to transfer my sight of how powerful a group of small people can be to you.

I got highly motivated after yesterday's voice chat on Balkan group at Discord we have every Sunday. Although, this theme came to my mind after a football match I had on Saturday. That was probably the funniest day of my life. I felt so good energy from teammates despite we lost the match. Great atmosphere in the club solved it all.

Let me return on voice chat I was talking about. We're relatively small group, mainly minnows (plankton as @zen-art says), but our team work is just amazing. So, I came up with an idea to unite our strengths and to reward the best posts of ours. The idea is at the very beginning and in progress so I won't reveal too much yet. My point is that every individual in the community has its function and is important. Maybe when you're alone you can't do much, but in the team when everyone gives a piece of themselves and invests their efforts really a lot can be achieved.

Each of us can contribute to the community, but every individual should be starting from themselves.
The first step has to be an IDEA. I find this one the most essential step, also not the only one. Sometimes good, even the best ideas fail due to lack of planning or bad execution.
Anyways, if you're working in a team, share your idea(s) so it can branch all over a team/community. Others will surely help you to extend or make the idea even better. Elaborate the plan up to the smallest details and never forget to believe in what you doing. Collect your power and knowledge and work on projects - in team. That's the recipe for success. After that you won't be the on chasing the reward, the reward will be chasing you.

Let me visualize my thoughts to you.
Let's take the most banal example:

"Imagine that one child hits you in the body. (I know this sounds weird or stupid, but believe me)
You'll probably feel that, even more likely it won't hurt. Now imagine 40 kids hitting you continuously. That'll deal some damage, right?"

I like funny examples don't blame me. Now, convert those hits into ideas and place yourself in the child's place. That's what community should be: healthy and it should grow constantly. Ideas are food for the team and everyone from the team is a small generator. Surround yourself with good and hard-working people, invest yourself in the community and it will return you many times more.

People, focus on your virtues. Evaluate your thoughts and expand your knowledge. Also, always give your best and try to make your team stronger - it will reflect right back at you

I wish you everyone a lot of luck. Build yourself and your team. Success is waiting for you. As always, your - @tonac 💚

Way to go! thank for share cool post bro @tonac

Thank you :)

Your posts are looking more and more professional, you are doing a great job. Yes, we are planktons but our strength is in our great numbers. This is a great post Tonko, you made an excellent point and explained it perfectly! Kudos!

It's easier when you have an "army" behind with the same goal. I admire the respect that's between all of us. I'm also glad there's always someone to respect my work and effort here. Together, we have no limits :)
