As mentioned in my post @buildawhale will start choosing on a daily basis a community project to upvote for 5-10%.
I chose Steem Poker League as the first community project as they along with others were caught in the crossfire of the recent flag wars and lost a lot of funds used for their community pot for the very active and enthusiastic player base.
What little time I have had to spend in the Steem Poker League has shown me there are a lot of great people trying to have fun enjoy each others company.
I cast a 5% vote for @tuck-fheman who finances and maintains the community pot for the Steem Poker League.
I would love your help to let me know what other community projects deserve more support. Feel free to speak out in the comments.

The community carries out massive recruitment of new steemit members, grooms and tutor them about steemit and how it works, organizes tutorials, contests, etc.
They support minnows massively by upvoting their posts and showing them how to improve on their posts.
They have a massive telegram community of steemit members that members socialize and share ideas on how to make the Steemit platform bigger and better.
They also offer the services of buying and selling of sbd and Steem, plus a whole lot of other things.
So, I really suggest and nominate @airhawk-project.

Please consider @hendrix22 and his great projects on Steemit. He got flagged by @haejin on several posts because he is flagging his reward pool abuse. He put up fundraiser for me which was at 50$ until @hajein flagged it. But @hendrix22 decided to help me anyway and he send me money for laptop. That show how good intentions that guy have! He and his wife are two diamonds of this community and think they deserve our support...

Sounds like a great idea to give back, I love it, I've been trying to help @jist with his woodworking community and @stnwllstrtgc with his #edc community, they are really in there infancy and could use any help. Of course our #steemsilvergold community likes any love you may show, but we're a bit more established and doing well for ourselves.

This is amazing and so very generous of you. It is a shame greed led to the flag wars and many people had to suffer. This is an awesome project, do you plan to keep it just around the Steem community or projects on Steem that will change the world not just the community? To answer your question there is only one project that I am aware of at the moment. It is the steem toolbar which is a very handy chrome extension which is still in development.(https://steemit.com/steemtoolbar/@arcange/steemtoolbar-google-chrome-extension-update-available) Keep up the great and inspirational content.

If you're still open to suggestions, I think @thefreshfive would be a good use of your support. It aims to help retention on the platform by welcoming, upvoting and introducing brand new Steemians to the greater Steem community. @mikepm74 has done a lot of work in setting up @thefreshfive account, delegating to it and setting up curation trails so others can also help support new and exciting Steemians.
Retention is probably one of the more important aspects towards mass adoption. Great bloggers will up and leave if they feel like their voices are lost in the wind, @thefreshfive is welcoming and helps establish support and the offer of a lifeline if newbies have any questions or issues.

This is incredible what you are doing and very motivating. I am working with the creator of #newbieresteemday and we are 4 days into our project. Its very exciting and I want you to know about it. Of course we would like help in any way you could provide, but having the opportunity to explain it to you, and then you seeing firsthand what is going on is more than enough for now.

Hi @themarkymark please support the #newbiresteemday and other initiatives @davemccoy has planned to help out newbies. Being a minnow is difficult but being a newbie minnow feels like being a plankton being devoured by whalesharks (well, I just used the whaleshark analogy coz real whales don't eat planktons hehe).
But seriously, we really need your help. A lot of newbies like me have been sleepless since day 1, having to juggle work/ life commitments and Steemit in order to grow in this platform. We understand that we need to make valuable contributions and we work on our content but we also need support from big people like you. Our fellow newbies support each other and we have built this newbie community as a support group but our collective influence is not yet enough as of the moment. I hope you can take a look on what @davemccoy is proposing. Thank you! :)

So nice to find people here on steemit that are really thinking on ways to help community projects grow and help more poeple. If you are still accepting suggestions, I´ll like to tell you about @camoes. It´s a community project for all portuguese speakers to help them in all ways here on steemit. We are trying to breack the barrier that language can impose on people and bring them all along on this steemit adventure. So fat we have translated some tutorials, we are working on a portuguese wiki, and also to make the #pt know all around. If you could give us a hand, it would be much appreciated.

I've only been on steemit for one month and am still in awe of the community spirit on this platform! @davemccoy invited me to participate in his and @mudcat36 's initiative called #newbieresteemday . I was talking with some people about this yesterday. If the retaliatory flagging on both sides stop, and we can just have it be reasonable downvoting based on disagreements over rewards, there might be an opportunity for involved parties to get together and discuss it. It would make for a great MSPWaves show.
But yes, much more NVC is needed in the world and here on Steemit. Lots of tragic expressions of unmet needs going on.
You're definitely right, both @themarkymark, and @lukestokes are far more experienced than me. Seeing less waring in the future would be fantastic. When something highly discouraging happens here, it lowers the morale of the community affecting motivation, thus quality.
I agree with @lukestokes that flagging someone "because they flagged x person" is ilogical and fanning the flames. I'm grateful to know @themarkymark and others have tried. That shows me that everyone does get chances to change and improve, no matter what the original offense was.
It has been discussed and was clear it wasn't going to change. Many have approached him.
