    There are several reasons why people 'don't buy', as you suggest.

    1. There are loads of people here who live in countries in which they earn just enough to pay for their living
    2. A lot of the people that sign up these days are not familiar with crypto. Buying Steem when you have no knowledge of the crypto world is not that easy
    3. Why on earth would you invest in a platform when you don't even know if you will like it or not

    There are probably more, but I think those are enough to answer your question

    I am also living hand to mouth, but fortunately my mom occasionally give me several dollars as pocket money, that's when I buy steempower
