I've been in STEEMIT for almost a year and I won't need more than three fingers to tell you the times when I got voted by what we consider a whale.
SPECIAL NOTE: This statement does not include the greedy newcomers that come to STEEMIT just looking for money!
It is confusing, disappointing, sad, and it honestly SUCKS! who are we kidding?
I read somewhere (I think the white paper) that when you vote a high profile STEEMIT member with lots of money and STEEM POWER or better known as WHALES, you have a much greater chance to get CURATION REWARDS and it is true. The sad part comes when you are the only one UPVOTING them and never even receive a comment back for commenting on their posts; it makes you feel like a SLOT, like a parasite since they know and they feel very important that they don't have to do anything. You are the one who needs to upvote them and comment if you want to get rewarded.
This is by no means a complaint on how the STEEMIT algorithm works; I'm sure @ned and @dan, the creators of the STEEMIT platforms, never meant for the early members to become arrogant and selfish towards the newcomers.
How can we change that part of the STEEMIT culture, what can we do to reach to the HUMAN side of a WHALE?
Everything I suggest you guys doing, I've done during ten months and unfortunately nothing works.
I've UpVoted several of them, I'm following several of them. I constantly comment on their posts and the most I barely get is a thank you, but no vote.
So I came up with a solution. We the SMALL FISH need to stick together and take care of one another. Do not be afraid to vote, to comment, to share each other contents.
BUY STEEM on every chance you get; send it to your STEEMIT wallet, turn it immediately to STEEM POWER and keep posting so your voting power keeps increasing.
Find WHALES that support the newcomers and support them back. I want to believe that there are more GOOD WHALES that the SELFISH and ARROGANT ones. Spot the good human beings in whale customs. They will pull you to where they are and push you forward.
"Humans are naturally good" as Earl Nightingale said. Our duty is to find that goodness in people and nurture it.
We have to stay happy and positive. Remember, the law of attraction says that "all the human thoughts will eventually materialize".
Do good, do good and keep doing good. KARMA IS A BITCH. I hope you never have to find that out.
Like this post, upvote and resteem. Good job 😊💯

Yup, Karma.
STEEM ON!!
I'm so new that I haven't felt any of the frustration yet. But what you're saying seems to be echoed all through this platform.
What level does someone need to reach where they're considered a whale? @melip
BUY STEEM, KEEP POSTING, UPVOTE, COMMENT, SHARE AND DO GOOD TO OTHERS!
Excellent, this is what I’m talking about. Thank you for posting this! Keep the #BeReal #LifeInspired movement going! 🙌😎🤙

post beautiful and unique, always perfect with your post @melip good luck continued
my first goal to join steemit is first to make money. after I understand deeply about steemit. it turns out the main goal of various science fellow manuasia from various countries. and through postings that share information with other communities. I like to join in steemit.
I agree that small fish should help each other.
as newcomers grow they certainly expect a reward to improve their steam power.
sometimes rules are violated, this hurts us and obviously makes it difficult for us to grow so neglected.
to get upvote and comment very difficult to post our article. sometimes only bot services are used to improve our steam power.
maybe this is wrong, but why created a platform like this?
#truthtrain
One I hope people start using my hashtag :)

Been trying a few different approaches
I repost on twitter and Facebook
You’ll get there brother. Like I said, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t. “Law is Atraction”
I like it a lot
good job. good luck continue @melip
I really kangum with your post, I akam mengekpos my daily life in steemit. thank you @melip
they are not arrogant, but because of the small numbers of fish that are so big that they are hard to reach them all, I am very grateful to you, for being very concerned about us as a child.
@melip
I just do my thing on here with little expectation of reward. We never had any reward for social media before so why should I expect any at the moment. I like to thing that whales vote on good content and not content they aren't interested in, like we all should.
Good point!
STEEM ON!
nice post....ur activity inspire us..thanks for share
No problem buddy
It has become a culture for newcomers steemit, but should be how because newcomers have not get revenue from steemit except remarking on the whale, but this is not good, thus making them more think is important,
It should be noted so that newcomers don't beg vote on whale ...
Don't beg, period!
I thought that i was just a boring blogger lol
Following your guess, I think we all are. lol.
But we have fun, that's the best of it.
Good post carry on dear @melip
Thank you!
it is amazing I will follow your next post @melip
we should also see the number of whales, as the number of new accounts is not worth the current amount
