You may bump into an issue with this where it says you exceed your bandwidth allocation, it may just say 'transaction broadcast error' and will flag again the same error when you try again shortly afterwards. This is also why as part of the campaign to end the consensus permitting self voting, we also have to persuade the top 19 witnesses, I'm not sure how many of them it has to be for this specific parameter, to increase the block size to 128kb (131072 bytes, as you see on steemd.com/witnesses on my and several other backup witnesses now).
