I haven't kept a diary since I was a child and caught my father in my bedroom reading mine and having a good laugh. Naturally, it was all about him and my mother and how many times a week they were drunk:)
These days I remember very little and understand even less, so, tired of me borrowing her memory, a friend has gifted me a diary. No doubt I’ll now be publishing the minutiae of my daily doings here on Hive, to your endless fascination.
Oh! That can't have been good to have a diary full of drunken entries, but it sounded a little funny when I read it. Not something one would imagine being in a child's diary.
I also laughed about your friend giving you a diary so you can quit using her brain cells. The calendar book doesn't give so much room for keeping lots of notes per day, but it has random spaces here and there. I love writing, even though my handwriting is horrible and sometimes even I can't read parts of what I wrote. LOL !!!! Last year, maybe March or April, I found several day planners like this at Goodwill, it was late for buying one to use for real, but they were pretty, so I bought them anyway. I didn't use them for what they were made for and a few months back, I started writing in one as if it was a journal, not daily, just randomly. I don't do anything by date, just write the date and write across the whole page as if nothing else is printed there. It's worked well for that and it has been fun. I put a color marker sticking out the top of the page if I wrote an art idea I may want to come back too so I can find them at quick glance, although that is not the theme of my writings mostly.
I can't wait to be fascinated by all that you write!
Happy New Year!
